How we handle the personal information you give us when you order gas and accessories.
1. Who is responsible for your information
Khanyisa Gas and Fuels (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa, registration number 2010/012133/07, VAT number 4780293660. Directors: Munyaradzi Benyera Mpofu, Pilani Nhavatava, Precious Jasi and Tamuka Mahlatini. We are the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Our Information Officer is Munyaradzi Benyera Mpofu, a director, reachable at admin@khanyisafuels.com.

2. What we collect
- When you order: your name and mobile number; for delivery, your address, suburb, estate or complex details and, only if you choose, a map pin of your location; any note you add; what you ordered and what it cost.
- When you pay online: iKhokha tells us whether the payment succeeded and the amount. We never receive your card number or bank login.
- Technical information: to stop misuse of online payments, we keep a scrambled (one-way) code made from your internet address for a few hours.
- Website statistics: our pages use Google’s tag (Google Analytics and Google Ads) to count visits and see which adverts bring orders. Google sets cookies for this, which you can block in your browser. We do not send your name, number, address or order to Google.
- On your own device: your basket, and your details if you tick Remember my details, are kept in your browser only. We cannot see them, and you can clear them at any time.
3. Why we use it
To supply, deliver and support your order; to take payment and give refunds; to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires; and to prevent fraud. We do not sell your information, and we send you marketing only if you ask us to.
4. Who we share it with
- iKhokha, our payment provider, to process online payments.
- Google Firebase, which hosts the website and stores orders. Order records are stored in Google’s Johannesburg data centre; parts of the website service may run outside South Africa, under Google’s data protection terms.
- WhatsApp (Meta): when you choose to send your order to a branch on WhatsApp; and when you pay online, because our WhatsApp business account then sends the branch phone a notice of your paid order (the order reference, items, total, and your name, number and delivery details).
- OpenStreetMap: when you type a delivery address, the shop looks up your street and suburb on OpenStreetMap’s map service (servers in Europe) to check whether delivery is included. Your name and number are not sent.
- Google, for the website statistics above.
- Our branch staff and drivers, to prepare and deliver your order; and our accountant and SARS, as tax law requires.
5. How long we keep it
Order and payment records, including the delivery details on them, are kept for five years, as tax law requires.
6. Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it (unless the law requires us to keep it), and object to how we use it. Email admin@khanyisafuels.com. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator (inforegulator.org.za).
7. Security
Orders are stored on servers that only our payment system can write to. The website is served over an encrypted connection, and card payments are made on iKhokha’s secure payment page, not on our website.
